Financial Aid Application Assistance
UB provides the following services:
Applying for Financial Aid

Assistance in preparing for collage entrance examinations and completing college admission applications.

Provide information on the full range of Federal student financial aid programs and benefits (including Federal Pell Grant awards and loan forgiveness) and resources for locating public and private scholarships; and

Assistance in completing financial aid applications, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
Financial Literacy
UB provides educational or counseling services designed to improve the financial and economic literacy of students or the students' parents, including financial planning for postsecondary education. The services are provided through scheduled workshops covering topics such as:

Budgeting

Managing money or financial resources

Saving for college

Applying for student loans and
-
Understanding the use of credit cards
UB staff help students and their parents/ legal guardians to understand available educational resources they can take advantage of to pay for college.
Arrangements for workshop presentations are made with local financial institutions and government agencies.
Financial aid and financial literacy resources are from the U.S. federal government, colleges/ universities, and local government.
